The College of Arts & Sciences is keenly seeking academic accreditation for its programs. The first CAS Program to achieve 5-years full accreditation till 2013 is the Biomedical Sciences Program of the Health Sciences Department from the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), the very first Program ever to be accredited by NAACLS outside the US. The second program to achieve also 5 years full-accreditation is the Chemistry Program for the Chemistry and Earth Sciences Department from the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC).
