The College of Arts & Sciences is home to seven accredited degree programs. The first CAS program to achieve full accreditation was the Biomedical Sciences program in the Department of Health Sciences. This was awarded by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). This accreditation was notable in that it was the first Biomedical program to be accredited by NAACLS outside the United States. The second program to achieve also full accreditation was the Chemistry program in the Department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences. This was awarded by the Canadian Society for Chemistry (CSC).
