Welcome Message from the Head of Department

Welcome to the Department of Social Sciences. In our department, we offer two programs; one in Sociology and the other one in Social Work. Only female students can major in Sociology. However, a minor in Sociology is open to both male and female students. Similarly, only female students can major in Social Work. Social Work does not offer a minor . The two programs offer rich learning opportunities to prepare students for the future workforce. The students will have the chance to gain theoretical knowledge, research skills, and experiences through various and diverse activities. The faculty members of the Department of Social Sciences have diverse academic backgrounds and research expertise and are actively engaged in national and international community and research projects. We implement high standards in both programs and aim to reach excellent international standards.
