The Department of Human Nutrition was established in 1998, and offers a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Human Nutrition. The Department aims to graduate competent dietetics professionals with a strong foundation in biological sciences, applied nutrition sciences, research methodologies, and evidenced-based professional dietetic practice. The Department supports the development of professional competence and prepares graduates for careers in clinical and community dietetics, health and wellness, public health, and foodservice management. The current academic plan includes a supervised professional practice component which was launched in 2010.
