It is my pleasure to welcome you to the College of Education website that presents the College's vision, mission, and conceptual framework, along with helpful information for the current students, future applicants, education partners, and other visitors.

The faculty members in the College of Education are working to improve its programs and educational services. All academic programs were designed according to the high standards established by accrediting agencies such as the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The faculty members in the College of Education are currently working on a self-study for International Recognition in Teacher Education (IRTE) using the NCATE standards.

The members of the College are committed to its conceptual framework, “Together we shape the future through excellence in teaching, scholarship, and leadership”. Our programs are designed to prepare competent teachers and educational leaders to support the Education Reform in Qatar. The unit learning outcomes are aligned to the Qatar National Professional Standards for Teachers and School Leaders.  In the areas of scholarship, the Center for Educational Development and Research assists faculty to engage in scholarly activities and delivers in-service training programs and relevant workshops for local educators. As leaders, many of our faculty members are involved in projects which support the Education Reform in collaboration with the  Education Institute and Evaluation Institute of the Supreme Education Council. Many faculty members are conducting research, including projects that are funded by Qatar National Priorities Research Project.  In addition, our faculty are actively serving in leadership roles as consultants and board members for local and international organizations. 

The College of Education supports the Qatar Vision 2030.  Preparing highly qualified teachers and school leaders is essential in positively affecting the lives of young children and adolescents who will become the manpower needed to take the State of Qatar to the next level.
