Masters in Special Education
The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Special Education is one of the teacher preparation diploma programs in the College of Education at Qatar University. The program provides instruction and field-based practicum for educators and other professionals committed to serving students with disabilities.
Accomplishment of this goal will require competent, motivated teachers who will prepare children to reach their highest potentials.
This program consists of 30 credit hours taught in 3 semesters. Classes are field based, with students observing and practicing skills learned in the program courses.
Diploma in Special Education is benchmarked to Qatar National Professional Standards for Teachers and School Leaders and aligned with the standards of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the largest international professional association in special education.
Diploma in Special Education received National Recognition from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in 2014.
