Aims
- Supporting teachers in providing a continuous view of science and mathematics that will enhance students' understanding of the key ideas of science and mathematics in the elementary and preparatory levels.
- To support teachers in Qatar to develop inquiry-based approaches that connect mathematics and science learning in authentic ways, and that will encourage critical reasoning and the organization of conceptual knowledge in both these subjects.
- Enhancing practical and investigative experience in teaching science and mathematics by focusing on two specific strategies that can link mathematics and science learning in a manner that encourages inquiry-based learning , and links conceptual knowledge in both subjects , the professional development programme introduces didactic tools based on dialogic pedagogy (Exploratory Talk) and student inquiry (WebQuests).
