About Us
The school-based learning program is the foundation spark of establishing the National Center for Educational Development in order to provide vocational support to schools with varying performance and to transform them into distinguished schools.
The program established to provide in-school professional support to selected government schools identified by Ministry of Education and Higher Education & NCED-Qatar University.
This type of professional development is design to increase internal capacity of schools participating in the program through high quality school based professional learning activities and research based best practices to improve the performance of school leaders and teachers, which, in turn, will improve students’ learning and achievement.
Our Objectives
- Build Leadership Capacity to efficiently perform organizational tasks
- Provide professional development based on research and best practices.
- Create effective behavioral systems that contribute to students’ discipline
- Provide practical professional development sessions during the school day that include ongoing follow-up.
- Establish diverse ways to involve the community in supporting the educational process
- Increase students’ academic achievement
Our Distinguished Features
- Performed during school hours for participating schools.
- Periodic data is collected to assess implemented programs’ efficiency.
- Various Training styles: modeling, workshops, coaching and mentoring sessions, discussion sessions, observation and feedback, educational resources and publications.
