Teaching Assistant in Civil Engineering
College/Department Profile
Established in 1980, the College of Engineering offers programs in the fields of Civil, Architectural, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Engineering and Computer Science with the primary goal of preparing Qatari engineers with outstanding scientific and technical competencies to enable them to participate and contribute in the various developmental aspects of the country. The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering utilizes advanced teaching and learning tools and well-equipped laboratories. The Civil Engineering program is accredited by ABET which ensures that the program meets the standards and quality needed by the civil engineering profession.
Position Summary
The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering has an opening for a teaching assistant in Civil Engineering. The applicant must have a minimum Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering with a CGPA above 3.5. Applicants with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Civil Engineering will be given higher preference. Proficiency in the English language is essential as English is the official teaching language in the College of Engineering. Industrial experience would be advantageous.
The responsibilities of the position include tutoring, field and lab demonstrations, grading, and supporting the department in various service duties.
