Associate Professor

PhD, Engineering Department, University of Cambridge, UK, July 2005.

Research Interests
My main interest is in the field of Structural Dynamics and Vibration. Within this field, I am interested in the topics of Railway Dynamics and Ground-borne Vibration from rail and road systems. This includes the problem of Dynamic Soil-Structure interaction including the behavior of underground railway tunnels and buildings’ foundations. I am also interested in the topic of Structural Health Monitoring and characterization of damage by using vibration data. Finally, I am interested in the topic of human-induced vibration including modeling of pedestrian flow and human-structure interaction.
