| About Event | The outreach program for academic year 2011-2012 of Dept. of Electrical Engineering at Qatar University, kicked off on 12th December 2012 with a successful visit to Al Wakra Independent Secondary School for Boys. The visit was organized by the department outreach committee and the team included Prof. Mohieddine Benammar, Dr. Rashid Alammari, Dr. Ridha Hamila, Eng. Mohammed Elsayed and Eng. Mohammed Hassan. After the formal welcome and introduction by the school management, Prof. Mohieddine delivered a detailed presentation about Electrical Engineering profession in general, and Electrical Engineering program at Qatar University in particular. The presentation also threw light upon the admission requirements and procedure. The talk was followed by an interesting video prepared by the EE students on EE open day 2011. The interactive session with the students was very promising and enthusiastic. The display of selected projects by the past and current electrical engineering students evoked good response among the school students. Lots of students expressed their wish to join the EE program, which clearly shows that the visit was successful and fruitful. |
