The orientation web page is specifically intended for new faculty members or for those planning to come to work at our University. On this web site you can view the formal orientation program before you arrive in Doha. 

The first few days at any new job can be challenging. There will be forms to fill out, new places to explore, new people to meet and lots of new information to take in. We want to ensure this experience is as efficient and pleasant as possible, so if you have just arrived recently, or are planning to come to work at our University, you'll find lots of helpful links and information here.   

Human Resources Orientation for New Faculty

The Human Resources Department's orientation is a program offered prior to the start of the semester for all new faculty.

Please note that the Human Resources Department will be on EID break From August 2, 2013 to August 17, 2013.

Welcome to Qatar University. We are very happy you have chosen to pursue your career with QU. In order to ensure a smooth transition into QU and Qatar we have organized an orientation week. It is offered prior to the start of the semester and you have the option of choosing which date will suit you and your family. For this academic year 2013 - 2014, the Human Resources orientation program will commence on Monday, August 19th until Tuesday, August 27th. The official start of semester for faculty members is Sunday, September 1, 2013.

The orientation program will include information on the University’s organization structure, applicable rules and regulations and administrative processes. In addition, The HR orientation will enable new employees to initiate or finalize banking, telecomm, Visa, Information Technology, and other administrative/settlement matters.

Yahala - Academic Orientation for New Faculty

Yahala to Qatar University. Yahala, in our Arab culture is the best welcome one can wish to a new colleague. The Academic Orientation for new faculty members is scheduled on September 5, 2013; a few days before classes start for the academic year 2013-2014. The event will take place at the QU new Library. Please make sure that you reserve the date in your calendar for this important event.


The Academic Orientation Days is a special gathering that will bring us together to get to know each other, and provide you with valuable information about Qatar University strategic vision, programs, and numerous resources that will support you to continuously enhance the quality of your work and life in Qatar.
The President, Vice-Presidents, leaders and faculty from colleges and programs at Qatar University will be looking forward to meeting with you to facilitate your integration in our community. The program of the Academic Orientation will be soon posted on the New Faculty website, that is constantly updated with valuable information for our new colleagues.
