Human Resources Orientation for New Faculty
The Human Resources Department's Orientation is a program offered prior to the start of the semester for all new faculty.
Welcome to Qatar University. We are very happy you have chosen to pursue your career with QU. In order to ensure a smooth transition into QU and Qatar we have organized an orientation event. It is offered prior to the start of the semester and you have the option of choosing which date will suit you and your family. For the 2014-2015 academic year, the Human Resources orientation program will take place on the following dates:
The official start of semester for faculty members is Sunday, August 31, 2014.
The orientation program will include information on the University’s organization structure, applicable rules and regulations and administrative processes. In addition, The HR orientation will enable new employees to initiate or finalize banking, telecomm, Visa, Information Technology, and other administrative/settlement matters.

Yahala - Academic Orientation for New Faculty
Yahala to Qatar University. Yahala, in our Arab culture is the best welcome one can wish to a new colleague. The Academic Orientation for new faculty members is scheduled on September 3, 2014; a few days before classes start for the academic year 2014-2015. The event will take place at Ibn Khaldoon and QU Library. The event will provide you with valuable information about Qatar University strategic vision, programs, and numerous resources that will support you to continuously enhance the quality of your work and life in Qatar.
