There is no doubt that legal studies have great importance in our world today, because of its connection with many aspects of life and work. For example, children, wives and family in general, need regulations and legislation's that would clarify their rights and duties. Furthermore, economy, industry, agriculture, international relations, bank transactions as well as internal and security affairs also necessitate rules and procedures to regulate such matters in order to achieve the desired goals.

Given that, the college of Law of Qatar university has realized the importance of adopting a new program which leads to serve the ambition of the State in terms of property and progress. This program is expected to take into consideration the possibility of integrating basic legal knowledge with the practical legal skills to provide the local society and the different State's bodies with qualified graduates: (1) capable of using the the legal rules and principles to develop the society, and (2) capable of concluding effective solutions for problems, difficulties and most complicated cases.

The college of Law also seeks to achieve its vision through these programs so as to become one of the most distinguished college in the field of law regionally and internationally in the near future.
Additionally, the college will provide the society with qualified graduates having the priority in the labor market, particularly in their profession. They will be eligible for acceptance or admission in the most important and distinguished universities all over the world so as to pursue their post-graduate studies.

The college of law spares no no effort to obtain international accreditation; therefore the college has formed for this purpose a special committee to work on achieving this goal.

There is no doubt that achieving the vision of the college would eventually contribute to the University's efforts for the development of its education and the achievement of its set objectives.

Briefly, we can identify some of our goals as follows:

- To provide society and the State bodies with graduates capable of using the rules and principles of law to develop the society, deduct the best and most effective solutions to problems, difficulties and complicated cases.
- To create professional legal environment with high quality level based on very high standards.
-To increase the knowledge and awareness of legal culture for all classes of the local society such as children, women, workers, employees, students, journalists, tenants, shareholders...etc), and identify to these groups their rights, duties and commitments.
-To strengthen the State's ambitions towards the respect of the principle of legality and the establishment of the state of institutions and rule of law.

It is our dream to make our college one of the most distinguished colleges in the region. We believe that this dream is not impossible, and we have planted this dream in the minds of all those who have joined our college including students, faculty, and administrators, who have had strong belief in it drawing their plans and working in the light of this noble goal. We all truly believe that this dream sooner or latter will come true.
