The Scene

It is next Sunday- the countdown has already started and everybody is getting ready and looking forward to Qatar's first-ever 'career fair for nationals.'
The fair is being organized by Qatar Foundation, Qatar Petroleum and Qatar University. The four-day fair will be held under the patronage of HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre from November 18 to 21.

Over 100 exhibitors will participate, comprising government bodies, companies, business houses and other organizations. The fair will showcase a variety of recruitment, training and career development opportunities available to Qatari students and fresh graduates. The Fair is expected to attract a large number of Qatari job seekers.

Qatar Career Fair has been established as a high caliber annual event to enable invited employers, based in Qatar, to reach out to potential new Qatari employees.

The Fair will be an essential forum where employers can meet and interact with students, parents and educators to share, discuss and explore the opportunities available to the next generation of employees.

Students will be able to network, learn more about companies, increase their professional awareness and participate in workshops designed to develop their life skills for the job market.

The exhibition will be arranged in an innovative series of "villages" reflecting the various sectors participating; these include government; energy and industry; banking, finance and insurance; education, health and sports; and others.
Campus Life: "Campus Life" is published electronically once a week – every Sunday by the External Relations Department.

"Campus Life" tries to reflect, record and review what's going on in Qatar University. The QU community is vivid and active and its activities go beyond the campus area to the whole of Doha, the wider region, and around the globe. "Campus Life" will try to capture all that and put it in words and photos. Don't hesitate to interact and to write to us (jbennetthenry@qu.edu.qa) your own news and views. We appreciate and welcome your participation.
