QU’s College of Engineering Organizes a Ceremony Honoring Students in the Summer Training Program

The Computer Engineering Program at Qatar University’s (QU) College of Engineering (CENG) organized a ceremony honoring students who participated in the Summer Training Program 2022 and to celebrate their achievements and provide a space for open communication between the cooperating parties.

The program, which was organized in cooperation with both governmental and private institutions, was attended by a number of CENG faculty members and representatives from participating institutions: Tasmu Smart Qatar, an initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MOIT), Al Jazeera Media Network, Qatar Museums, Qatargas, QNB Group and Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU).

During the ceremony, the students discussed the challenges they faced and the mechanisms for developing training programs, as well as providing wider opportunities for students within institutions and companies in order to develop their skills and experience.

Dr. Noora Fetais, Professor in Computer Science and Academic Supervisor in the training program expressed her deep appreciation for the institutions who provided support to the students as part of the program, as well as the quality of training and their flexibility. She said, “I am pleased to see this unprecedented demand for participation and the outstanding level of interactions from various institutions, who have also provided for us input and ideas, all of which reflect their commitment and response in meeting the academic needs of the students and the importance of developing their skills and experience.”
