QU to launch Education, Engineering Education and Instruction Technology Conference (EEEITC 21)

Qatar University College of Engineering (QU-CENG) and College of Education (QU-CEDU) announced that both colleges will organize Education, Engineering Education and Instruction Technology Conference (EEEITC 21) on 21-23 February 2021, announcement was made during a press conference. Conference theme is “Online Teaching and Learning: Towards Building a Better Future.”
QU-CENG Dean Dr Khalid Kamal Naji said “EEEITC 21 will cover plenary sessions and main lectures on several topics related to engineering and technical education. We expect that this conference will provide a forum for exchanging technical information, disseminating high-quality research results, and presenting new policies and scientific progress in these areas. The conference will include lectures by keynote speakers and invitees, presentations and posters from the participants. Proceedings of the conference and high-quality papers will also be published in internationally refereed journals”.
In his comment; QU-CEDU Dean Dr Ahmed Emadi said “The aim of this conference is to gather local and international experts, educators, faculty members and researchers to share their experiences and research results on all aspects of education and the use of technology to enhance teaching and learning online. It also provides a multidisciplinary platform for academics and researchers to present and discuss the latest trends and concerns as well as practical challenges in developing and implementing innovative educators in education. The conference structure is designed to achieve these goals through the opening plenary session, keynote speakers, parallel sessions and group discussion sessions. The conference will cover several main topics, namely: technological design in teaching and learning, curricula and teaching methods, educational policies and leadership, partnership between the university and the educational technology industry”.
In his speech; CENG Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Prof Abdelmagid Hamouda said “Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to accelerate the process of achieving the global education goals through reducing barriers to access learning, automating management processes, and optimizing methods in order to improve learning outcomes. The conference supports the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) which will be discussed across a range of professional fields, including the education sector, and actively contribute to its mandate. This is why upcoming EEEITC 21 will focus on bringing Technology and Educators together”.

QU-CEDU Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies Dr.Ahmed Abdulrahman Megreya said “Conference will bring together leading local and international experts, teachers, faculty staff and researchers to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of education and use of technology enhance learning in education and online education. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for academics and researchers to present and discuss the most recent trends and concerns as well as practical challenges in developing and implementing innovative pedagogues in education. The structure of the conference was designed to meet these objectives through opening plenary session, keynote speakers, parallel sessions and panel discussion sessions.
For his part; CENG Technology Innovation and Engineering Education Unit Head Dr Wadha Labda said “The EEEITC 21 organizing committee welcomes papers from a wide variety of multidisciplinary and theoretical/conceptual perspectives, and submissions will be organized into the following topics and subtopics: Technology Design, Pedagogy and Curriculum, Policy and Leadership, University-Industry Collaboration”.
