QU eSports Club Hosts Welcome Event

Students participate as part of the QU eSports Club Welcome Event


Qatar University’s (QU) eSports Club hosts a welcome event for male students was to gather and introduce male students to the QU eSports club, by providing a variety of games for everyone to play. The event was carried out to bring the male gaming community together, and help them know one another to grow the community. This also helped the leadership team understand the gaming interests of the students. This event was sponsored by Ooredoo Nation.

Syed Hamad Abbas, President of the QU eSports Club said, “The event was truly a big success. We were able to gather a lot of attention of the male gamers at QU and convey our objective as a club. All the effort we put in to organize the event was not in vain, as more than a 100 students showed up. We had a variety of games to cater to everyone’s interest as much as possible, and also encouraged students to bring their own collections if they would like to talk about them. We look forward to even bigger events in the future.”

Ahmadyar Qureshi, Vice President of the QU eSports Club, said, “The progress of the QU eSports Club was vividly portrayed through this event by the huge turnout of participants. It was an amazingly successful event which boosted the morale of the entire management team.”

Usama Javed, Treasurer of the QU eSports Club, said, “The event exceeded my expectations and was a huge success. There were games, snacks and just good vibes in general; a much needed break after the exams period.”

The eSports club at Qatar University has a vision to make competitive eSports more popular within Qatar and the MENA region.
