The Assets Tracking Services is performed by the Assets Tracking Unit under the Material Management Section.
The purpose of this service is to keep track of all the university's assets in all the buildings belonging to it.
Whenever you get a new chair, table or a computer, you will find a barcode label on it with the title "Qatar University". This label is important for the assets tracking process and should never be removed under any circumstances.
Also, transferring one asset from one location to another should never be performed without notifying the Assets Tracking Unit and getting their approval for such transfer. Unrecorded transfers will be detected by the system through the yearly asset count.
