Strategic Planning
The Strategic Planning Section leads the preparation and development of the University's strategic plans. The QU’s internal planning framework is based on a scientific approach and proven methodology; the process relies on collaborative efforts of the University community. As part of this approach, assessment of the institutional environment, internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats, are conducted wherever planning is launched. The approach includes linking planning to resources in the context of the University’s unique characteristics.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the university’s plan; develop the overall planning framework and support academic and non-academic departments strategic plans, consolidate unit plans; identify critical issues/opportunities; develop strategy recommendations within the working groups to optimize near-term growth.
- Collect data for all university plans’ KPIs.
- Prepare semiannual status reports highlighting achievements and areas of concerns of the units’ plans.
- Prepare annual report covering the achievements & areas of concerns of the QU Strategic Plan.
- Support units in uploading their plans in Strategic Planning Online System (SPOL).
- Develop presentations, guidelines, and regular updates to the University management.
- Identify and assess strategic issues; lead and/or participate and/or facilitate strategic discussion and where necessary.
