The Environmental Studies Center is one of the oldest research centers in the Gulf region. Since its establishment in 1980, under the name of SARC, the Center has established its name through the hard work of its members as the leading authority in marine science of the region.

With the recent active modernization of Qatar, the E.S.Center took the lead again by expanding its activities, to include all the components of the environment, providing a base for the sustainable development of the country, including conducting environmental impact assessment studies to many major development in the country. After more than quarter of a century, the E.S.Center still protecting the natural heritage of this beautiful country.
