Academic Promotion Committee
Objective: To evaluate faculty academic promotion dossiers.
Exam Review Committee
Objective: To oversee assessment at the College and Program levels. To ensure proper scheduling of exams. To facilitate professional development of preparing exams.
BSc Admission Committee
Objective: To select top student applicants to the College of Pharmacy and to coordinate all application, selection and admission processes related to BSc (Pharm) program.
Clinical Pharmacy and Practice Department
Objective: To provide the management and leadership necessary to enable successful academic endeavors in the areas of teaching, research and service.
Community Outreach, Planning and Engagement Committee
Objective: To coordinate internal/external events and oversee activities aimed at strengthening links with the off-campus academic and lay public communities.
Curriculum and Assessment Committee
Objective: To Oversee the college academic affairs
Dean’s Advisory Council
Objective: To provide advice and counsel to the Dean on any and all matters pertaining to the College of Pharmacy mandate.
Faculty Seminar and Research Committee
Objective: To oversee research affairs, policies and procedures, and promote scholarly activity. As well as oversee the periodical research and professional development seminars activities of faculty and students.
CPH Graduate Program Committee
Objective: To oversee graduate studies, approve policies and procedures, student’s admission, students’ affairs, approve new graduate studies programs. Review the application forms, screen and interview the candidates and select the candidates based on the pre-determined criteria.
Interprofessional Education Committee
Objective: To provide guidance and support in implementing interprofessional education within the pharmacy curriculum at the College of Pharmacy in Qatar University and other Healthcare Program in Qatar including medicine, nursing and health sciences.
Laboratory Health & Safety Committee
Objective: To review and improve the operational health and safety of College of Pharmacy teaching and research laboratories.
Engagement and Partnership Committee
Objective: To seek opportunities for international collaborative initiative in research and teaching. Set up policies and facilitate the movement of these initiatives towards implementation
Peer Assessment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement Committee (PATLEC)
Objective: To create within CPH, a structured process for mentorship and peer assessment of teaching to be used as a mechanism for supporting faculty development, enhancing teaching and learning quality and to provide one mechanism to satisfy College and University requirements for peer review of teaching assessment.
Pharmaceutical Sciences Department
Objective: To provide the management and leadership necessary to enable successful academic endeavors in the areas of teaching, research and service.
PharmD Program Steering Committee
Objective: To oversee the PharmD program.
PharmD Internship Advisory Committee
Objective: To provide feedback and suggestions to continuously improve the quality of the PharmD rotations.
Pharmacy Professional Skills Committee
Objective: To provide guidance and support to the practical training components (skills labs) in each year of the curriculum to ensure consistent and sequential skills experiences.
Pharmacy Research, Evaluation and Presentation (PREP) Skills Committee
Objective: To review the topics covered in the PREP series (P2 and P3 years) to streamline the content to limit overlap and eliminate redundancy, and offer suggestions on how to improve student retention of the knowledge and skills needed to critically appraise and present the medical/pharmaceutical literature.
PhD Admission Committee
Objective: To review the application forms, Screen and interview the candidates and Select the candidates based on the pre-determined criteria.
Program Learning Outcomes Assessment Committee (PLOAC)
Objective: To review the achievement of student learning outcomes across all college programs. Make curriculum refinement recommendations to the college curriculum committee. Present yearly reports to QU PLOAC.
Strategic Planning Committee
Objective: To produce, update and facilitate information that provides a framework for all major directions of the CPH, made from the context of the fundamental principles and strategic priorities outlined by QU.
Structured Practical Experiences in Pharmacy (SPEP) Steering Committee
Objective: To provide feedback on behalf of preceptors in order to improve the quality and coordinate the effective planning for the SPEP rotations.
Student Support and Retention Committee (SSRC)
Objective: To screen and identify students at risk during their pre-pharmacy and pharmacy years and to offer support to these students.
Student Affairs Committee
Objective: To make recommendations to student affairs related matters including registration, schedule, academic, extra curricula activities, travel, services, complains, academic/nonacademic violation and graduation.
CPH Faculty Travel Committee
Objective: To review and decide on Faculty travel request and develop CPH travel policy.
Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee (USAC)
Objective: To serve as a forum for communication between representatives of students and senior faculty concerned with student relations.
Accreditation Committee
Objective: To prepare for renewal of the BSc and PharmD accreditation.
