Welcome to the First Forum on Advancing Pharmacy Education in the GCC and Middle East. This inaugural Forum will be held in Doha, Qatar on December 6th – 8th 2015.
The Forum was developed as an initiative of the Deans of the five Pharmacy schools in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region that are striving to or have attained accreditation by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP).
These schools include:
• Qatar University College of Pharmacy
• Kuwait University Faculty of Pharmacy

The changing role of pharmacists in clinical practice requires redesigning and reimagining the current pharmacy curriculum. The objectives of this 1st Forum on Advancing Pharmacy Education are to convene, collaborate and share our experiences of successes and challenges here in the MENA region.
Themes to be explored include:
• Clinical Practice Experience
• Professional Pharmacy Practice Labs
