Welcome to the Office of the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, Qatar University!
The Office of Student Affairs is committed to providing assistance, guidance and support to all College of Pharmacy students during their journey with us. The Office of Student Affairs mission is to serve students by providing help and assistance to resolve any issues related to student admission, enrolment, registration, schedules, examination, graduation and many other student related issues. We work closely work with QU admission, registration and Records departments at Qatar University and Academic advising to provide you with the best university experience.
The College of Pharmacy is committed to providing students with the best opportunities to broaden their learning experiences and enrich their education. These include participation in research, competitions, conferences and internships nationally and internationally. Our students and alumni continually excel, locally and abroad and are always great ambassadors of the College. They have always demonstrated high level of distinction and quality and we are confident that they will be able to advance the pharmacy practice and health sector in Qatar, the Middle East and the World in line with the College mission. Additionally, our students enjoy a range of annual extra curricula activities. These include White Coat Ceremony, Dean’s List, Graduation, PharmacoFUN, International Potluck, Movie Day, Dialogue with the Dean, Competitions (such as promote your pharmacy profession and Arabic counselling competition), and Public Outreach Events on important topics such as Diabetes, Smoking Cessation, Medication in Ramadan and Allergies and Common Cold.
Furthermore, student voice is important to us and that is why we have student representatives in most of the College committees. Student related committees chaired by the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs are as follow:
- The Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee (USAC) which serve as a forum for communication between representatives of students and senior faculty concerned with student relations.
- BSc admission Committee. The committee is charged with the responsibility of selecting top student applicants to the College of Pharmacy. The committee coordinate all application, selection and admission processes related to BSc (Pharm) program.
- The Students Affairs Committee: The committee has the responsibility of making recommendations to student affairs related matters including registration, schedule, academic, extra curricula activities, travel, services, complains, academic/non-academic violation and graduation.
