Arabic for Non-native Speakers

Eligibility Requirements
  • Applicants must have a Baccalaureate (minimum requirement) or be university/institute graduates
     
  • Preference is given to applicants nominated by an official body (ministry, embassy, religious society or an educational establishment)
     
  • Applicants must not be over forty years old
     
  • Candidates are chosen relative to the number of applicants from each country
     
  • Preference is given to countries that have cultural agreements with Qatar in general and the University of Qatar in particular
     
  • Priority is given to the applicants from the countries that have not previously received scholarship for enrollment in this program.
     
  • Applications are processed according to the applicant’s grades and teaching experience
     
  • Priority is given to the applicants who are working in the service of Islam and the Arabic language or has recently converted to Islam
     
  • Scholarship awarded to females &males, however double chance is assigned to males.
     
  • Nomination for applicants to be awarded the scholarship is carried on by the college committee during Jan-March (for each year)
