The College of Engineering will be recognized locally, regionally, and internationally as a leading institution providing high quality programs and services.
Objectives of the College
The College offers degree programs in the fields of Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with the primary goal of preparing Qatari engineers with outstanding scientific and technical competence to enable them to participate in the various development aspects of the country. Furthermore, the College of Engineering supports relevant research actively participates in the preparation of future Qatari faculty members.
Additional Objectives are:
To prepare engineers for responsibilities in: building and construction, production, environmental import and development, operation and maintenance and setting up test procedures and standards;
To provide continuing training and education and to
perform advanced engineering studies leading to higher scientific degrees;
To conduct scientific and applied research, provide engineering and technical advice and present technical services to different sectors of the country, such that the college becomes a source of information and knowledge
To cooperate, organize and set up communication lines between the College of Engineering and those enterprises, organizations and authorities interested in engineering education;
To come grips with the ever-increasing advances in engineering and technology;
To help and participate in the evolution and development
of the natural and economic resources of the State; and
To contribute towards the proper execution of construction and production plans of the Government and the local community.
