Qatar University's students are encouraged to participate in wide array of Community and Learning Service Programs. A newly established section in the student activities department that aims at:

Gain knowledge of civic engagement and responsibility.

Value and appreciate the uniqueness of the Qatari Culture.

Implement the rules and regulations of citizenship.
Currently Qatar University Students are engaged in two programs: BASMA and Best Buddies. The first aims at supporting two disadvantaged population: elderly and orphans. The second aims at creating friendship with people with special needs especially mentally challenged young population in cooperation with Al-Shafalah center.
