Application Checklist
Important Notes:
- Students have to upload passport size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
- For students from international Schools, foreign Schools, privet Schools and Universities, they have to submit Official, final, and certified high school or University transcript to Qatar University before the deadline by the following timing and locations:
- Male: Male Activity Building (B02) first floor, from Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 1 pm.
- Female: Admission and Enrollment Building (C12), Ground floor, from Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 1 pm.
- For students from Qatari Government and independent schools, they don’t have to submit their high school transcript, QU will receive their results from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
- Due to the current circumstance, you do not have to submit the medical health certificate at this time. You will be requested to submit it at a later time.
First Year Applicants
All applicants who have never attended a university or who have not earned at least 24 credit hours at a university and who are applying to Qatar University as either Foundation Program or Undergraduate applicants are classified as First Year applicants and are required to submit the following:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Final, official and certified high school transcript
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (International students please refer to International Students Website)
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card.
- Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport; international students please refer to International Students website.
- Non-Qatari applicants with Qatari parents must also provide a photocopy of the applicant's parent Qatar ID card and Birth certificate and Non Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also provide the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband.
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
- Official test score reports for applicants to Colleges that require Foundation Program ( if available) to be submitted to the Foundation Program Testing Center in order to be exempted from the Foundation Program.
( Due to the current circumstances of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and as part of the precautionary measures followed by the state of Qatar to prevent the spread of the (COVID-19), Qatar University apologize to accept any new international students for admission in spring 2021 semester. International students can apply in the future for the coming semesters ).
Readmission Applicants
Applicants seeking readmission are required to apply to their intended college of study by filling the QU online admission application and submit the following admission requirements by admission deadlines.
- Final, official and certified high school transcript
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (International students please refer to International Students Website)
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card.
- Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport; international students please refer to International Students website.
- Non-Qatari applicants with Qatari parents must also provide a photocopy of the applicant's parent Qatar ID card and Birth certificate and Non Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also provide the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband.
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
- Official test score reports for applicants to Colleges that require Foundation Program
Non-Degree Applicants
All applicants who are not considered pursuing an undergraduate degree may apply for Non-Degree admission to Qatar University by submitting the following:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Final, official and certified university transcript
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (International students please refer to International Students Website)
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport; international students please refer to International Students website)
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
Second Degree Applicants
All applicants who have previously earned a bachelor's degree and who wish to pursue further undergraduate work in a different major may apply for admission to a second bachelor's degree at Qatar University. Second bachelor's degree applicants are required to submit the following:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Final, official and certified university transcript
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (International students please refer to International Students Website)
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card.
- Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport; international students please refer to International Students website.
- Non-Qatari applicants with Qatari parents must also provide a photocopy of the applicant's parent Qatar ID card and Birth certificate and Non Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also provide the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband.
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
- Official test score reports for applicants to Colleges that require Foundation Program
Transfer Applicants
All applicants who are currently or who have previously attended another university and who have earned at least 24 credit hours are considered transfer applicants and may apply for transfer admission to Qatar University by submitting the following:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Final, official and certified university transcript
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (International students please refer to International Students website)
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card.
- Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport; international students please refer to International Students website.
- Non-Qatari applicants with Qatari parents must also provide a photocopy of the applicant's parent Qatar ID card and Birth certificate and Non Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also provide the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband.

Transfer Applicants from CCQ
All transfer applicants from CCQ are required to submit the following documents to the QU Admissions Department:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Official and certified CCQ transcript
- Official test score reports (for non-AA and AS graduates only)
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card. (Non-Qatari applicants should also provide a copy of their passport)
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
- Official test score reports for applicants to Colleges that require Foundation Program
Transfer Applicants from CNA-Q
Applicants who have completed an advanced diploma degree from the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar are eligible to seek transfer admission to a select number of Qatar University degree programs. To be considered for admission to Qatar University under the articulation agreement, applicants must submit:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Final, official and certified transcript from the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport)
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
Visiting Students
Students who are already attending another university and who wish to take courses at Qatar University are welcome to do so as a visiting student. Visiting applicants are required to submit the following:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Final, official and certified university transcript (Applicants who have been admitted to a university for a future semester and who wish to take classes at QU before enrolling at that university are required to provide a copy of their admission letter in lieu of an official university transcript).
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (International students please refer to International Students website)
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport; international students please refer to International Students website)
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
CCQ Cross Registration
The Cross-Registration program provides you with the opportunity to enroll at both Qatar University and Community College of Qatar (CCQ) at once and take courses that are required to earn an AA, AS or Baccalaureate degree in CCQ. Applicants are required to submit the following:
- Official and certified CCQ transcript (Applicants who have been admitted to a CCQ for a future semester and who wish to take classes at QU before enrolling at CCQ are required to provide a copy of their admission letter in lieu of an official university transcript).
- Approval Form from CCQ.
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card.
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs.
