Non Degree Applicants
Qatar University may offer non-degree admission to a limited number of individuals who may enroll in undergraduate credit courses at QU but who are not considered pursuing an undergraduate degree program. Non-degree students may register in a maximum of 48 credit hours or 4 semesters of course work at Qatar University, whichever comes first. Non-degree students may be enrolled as either full-time or part-time students.
Non-Degree Admission Requirements
The following minimum admission requirements are necessary in order to be considered for admission to Qatar University as a Non-Degree student:
- Have earned an undergraduate degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 from a university accredited by an international accrediting association or by the Ministry of Higher Education in that country.
- Must satisfy all QU Undergraduate admission requirements for the semester of intended admission and must submit all appropriate application materials and supporting documents to the Admissions Department by the admission deadline.
Non-Degree Students Who Want to Earn a Second Bachelor's Degree
Non-degree students may apply coursework taken in non-degree status towards a second bachelor's degree. Non-degree students may apply a maximum of 48 undergraduate credit hours earned at Qatar University in courses passed with a grade of "D" or higher toward a second bachelor's degree. All second bachelor's degree admission requirements apply.
Non-Degree Applicants Checklist
Important Notes:
- Students have to upload passport size photograph and Photocopy of the applicant's valid Qatar ID card (Non-Qatari applicants must also upload a copy of their passport) through the online admission application by the admission deadline.
- Students have to submit Official, final, and certified University transcript to Qatar University before the deadline by the following timing and locations:
- Male: Male Activity Building (B02) first floor, from Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 1 pm.
- Female: Admission and Enrollment Building (C12), Ground floor, from Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 1 pm.
- Due to the current circumstance, you do not have to submit the medical health certificate at this time. You will be requested to submit it at a later time.
All applicants who are not considered pursuing an undergraduate degree may apply for Non-Degree admission to Qatar University by submitting the following:
- Complete Online Admissions Application with an e-payment of QR 200
- Final, official and certified university transcript
- Health Certificate issued inside Qatar (International students please refer to International Students Website)
- Photocopy of the applicant's Qatar ID card.
- Non-Qatari applicants must also provide a copy of their passport; international students please refer to International Students website.
- Non-Qatari applicants with Qatari parents must also provide a photocopy of the applicant's parent Qatar ID card and Birth certificate and Non Qatari female students married to Qatari Nationals must also provide the marriage contract and a copy of the ID card of the husband.
- Two (2) recent identical passport size photographs (size 4 x 6 cm) with white background
- International students who do not hold a valid State of Qatar residence permit (excluding GCC citizens) are not eligible for QU admission consideration. It is crucial that international student who is interested to enroll at QU to have a valid Qatari residence permit. Qatar University International Student Section assists students to get a student visa (Qatar Residence Permit). Those interested students should Apply Online for the student visa and upload the Required Documents during the same timeline of QU admission. Applicants who fail to satisfy the requirements for a student visa will not be considered for Qatar University admission.( Due to the current circumstances of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and as part of the precautionary measures followed by the state of Qatar to prevent the spread of the (COVID-19), Qatar University apologize to accept any new international students for admission in spring 2021 semester. International students can apply in the future for the coming semesters. )
