The Grade Point Average (GPA) is an indicator of the student's overall academic performance at QU. Every letter grade has a corresponding grade point, which constitutes the basis for calculating the Grade Point Average (GPA).
Multiplying the number of credit hours assigned to a course by the number of grade points associated with the grade received results in the quality points earned for a course. Qatar University determines students' term GPA by dividing the total quality points earned in a semester by the total number of earned hours for the same semester. Similarly, students; cumulative GPA is determined by dividing the total quality points earned by the total number of earned hours at the University.
