At Qatar University, you will find a highly respected public institution offering first-class opportunities for learning and research to students from more than 70 nationalities. By choosing Qatar University, you join a community of scholars, researchers and learners who value knowledge both for its own sake and for its ability to contribute to the development and advancement of human thought and values.

The Admissions Department at Qatar University is responsible for evaluating and admitting applicants to the Foundation Program, the seven Undergraduate Colleges, all Diploma and Masters programs, and the non-degree certificate programs.

Qatari and international students (both residents and non-residents) are admitted to Qatar University on a competitive basis. Qatar University has a policy of non-discrimination and the Admissions Department assesses each application on the basis of the applicant’s academic merit and scholastic achievement, regardless of race, gender or religion. Qatar University also ensures that all its facilities are accessible to special-needs students.

As Qatar University operates on the semester system, most programs admit students for the Fall and Spring semesters. However, as some programs elect to offer admission once per academic year, it is strongly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the admission requirements and timelines for your intended program of study.
