Our Services During COVID-19
Out of our concern for the health and safety of our students and employees, and taking precautionary measures to combat the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Inclusion and Support Center continues to provide remote services to our students, taking into account the following:
Students can communicate with all the Inclusion and special needs Support Center's staff remotely until the start of the fourth phase of lifting the restrictions imposed without the need to personally come to the campus.
New students can register for the center’s services remotely by contacting the special needs specialist via telephone, submitting medical reports via e-mail and filling out a registration application by phone.
Quick Facts!
Over a billion people live with some form of disability. This corresponds to about 15% of the world's population. According to United Nations 15% of students might have some form of disability and need some form of accommodations.
Invisible disabilities are the most common type of disability among college students. For example, students with learning disabilities, chronic illness, psychiatric disabilities, etc., so let us think twice before we say "But you don't look disabled!"
In 2008, Qatar ratified The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which promotes, protects and ensures the human rights for all people with disabilities, independent living and enhanced community inclusion with access to social support services.
