"SEHHA" is the first of its kind in the State of Qatar. Established in 2013, it has achieved remarkable success in directing the interest of the new generation in Qatar towards health professions over the past years. The results continue to prove its success according to current statistics. The SEHHA project supports secondary level educators and aims to qualify a responsible Qatari generation who meet the country's demands of health professions and scientific research.

The project facilitates intensive training and scholarships for the participants, done in collaboration with several health care institutions at the state of Qatar. The project grants the participating students between 30-145 hours of community service depending on their competency level.


  • Attract high school Qatari students to the health care career and increase the number of Qatari health professionals to meet the country’s demands.

  • Support high school educators through their challenge of delivering real applications of science.

  • Inspire students by demonstrating real life examples of scientific inquiry and experiments.

  • Stimulate students’ critical thinking through advanced hands-on training in the laboratories of Qatar University and other health care partners.

  • It is an opportunity for high school students to explore their chosen career path and get a taste of the realities of college life.

  • Close the gaps between secondary education, university’s education and the career’s choice.
