    Description
    Through this track, students are guided to develop the problem-solving skills of the 21st century. Al-Bairaq introduces the students to different problems in the real world, that require a scientific and tactful approach in solving them. The students, participating in this track learn to identify a problem, followed by brainstorming solutions, choosing the best solution, and implementing the solution. This track also implements lively and exciting scientific learning from the basic levels through the activities, thereby attracting them to explore and enjoy science with fun.
    Objectives
    • Students learn about problem-solving skills, expression/presentation skills, critical thinking, and design thinking skills.
    • Depending on the workshop, students acquire various scientific knowledge that is transformed into a novel product/idea/prototype.
    • They are acquainted with the steps of problem-solving through hands-on activities i.e. identify a problem, brainstorm solutions, choose the best solution and, test and evaluate the selected solution.

    Duration: 3-4 practical sessions, followed by 1-2 months follow-up sessions

    Time: 1-1.5 hours a day

    Grades: Years 3 and 4

    Number of participants: 20-25 students per session
