    CPH Dean

CPH Dean | Qatar University - Image1 Welcome to the College of Pharmacy at Qatar University.

Since its establishment in 2006 as Qatar's first college of pharmacy, the College has played a vital role in preparing pharmacists, advancing pharmaceutical research, and supporting the development of the country's healthcare workforce. As Acting Dean, I am honored to build on this foundation alongside our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners.

Our ambition is to prepare graduates who combine scientific knowledge with sound clinical judgment, professional integrity, and a commitment to improving people's lives. Our Bachelor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy programs are accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP), complemented by postgraduate opportunities in pharmacy and through QU Health. Together, these pathways support professional practice, research, education, and leadership.

Our next chapter is guided by Qatar University's Strategy 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030. We are committed to continuously renewing our curricula, strengthening experiential learning, and connecting pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences with clinical practice. Collaboration across QU Health Sector and with our healthcare partners enables our students to learn across disciplines and develop the skills needed to respond to evolving patient and community needs.

Students are at the heart of this commitment. We strive to provide a supportive and intellectually challenging environment where every student can develop confidence, exercise initiative, and grow as a professional. This depends on the dedication of our faculty and staff, whose contributions we value and whose development and success remain central to our priorities.

Research is equally integral to our mission. We support rigorous, collaborative research that addresses national health priorities and advances pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy practice. Our partnerships with healthcare institutions, government, industry, and international academic colleagues help translate knowledge into better education, practice, and health outcomes.

Above all, we seek to sustain a college culture grounded in respect, accountability, collaboration, and shared purpose. I invite you to explore our programs, engage with our community, and contribute to shaping the future of pharmacy and healthcare in Qatar and beyond.
