Institutional Accreditation
WSCUC Institutional Accreditation
Institutional accreditation is a voluntary process of peer reviewing of a higher education institution aimed at ensuring that the institution meets a series of quality standards. It provides public assurance about the quality of institutions, and a mechanism for the institutions to evaluate themselves and to improve.
An accredited institution refers to the fulfillment of accreditation requirements such as; the commitment to embracing quality and continuous improvement, student learning and success, institutional accountability and integrity. Pursuing WSCUC accreditation is vitally critical for QU in order to reassure stakeholders of its current commitment to a high-quality education that meets national and international standards.
Seeking accreditation from an internationally renowned accreditation agency such as WSCUS reinforces QU's commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality education for the public based on WSCUC's mission to promote "continuous institutional improvement and assures the membership and its constituencies.”
Qatar University has successfully passed the Expression of Interest and Eligibility stages of the WSCUC accreditation process.
