Welcome to the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Center, a specialized language center that is part of Languages, Communication and Translation Cluster (College of Arts and Sciences, Qatar University). The ANNS center offers an intensive Arabic language programme to international students whose mother tongue is not Arabic.
Our highly qualified faculty members with long experience in teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers implement modern teaching methods and technologies to ensure that all students achieve the highest possible results. Our Faculty members belong to various national and cultural backgrounds, but all of them are leading experts in the sphere of Arabic language teaching to Non-Native Speakers.
Every year the Center offers six language levels: from Beginner I level up to Advanced II level. Applicants are enrolled as fee-paying students or nominees from educational or cultural institutions that have signed MoUs with Qatar University.
Since its establishment, the Center has been a major platform for achieving the university's goals in promoting the Arabic language, building strong academic, cultural and research relations with various educational institutions, and improving cooperation with its regional and international partners. The ANNS center has signed more than 30 agreements and MoUs with various international Universities and Institutions, and annually enrolls nominees from these organizations on a scholarship basis. This helps Qatar University to maintain its high position among the top universities in the world (according to the Times Education World University Rankings).
The ANNS center complies with Qatar University development strategy and implements the highest quality standards. As well, the Center strives to realize Qatar National Vision 2030, especially the part that deals with promoting Arabic and building strong cultural relations with people all over the world.
