The Tamayuz Simulation Center (TAMAYUZ) at Qatar University is a state-of-the-art facility under QU Health Sector, dedicated to transforming clinical education and professional development in Qatar. Through immersive, hands-on learning, it provides healthcare students and professionals with realistic, safe environments to enhance their technical skills, clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork, before practicing on real patients.
As part of Qatar University’s commitment to advancing health professions education, TAMAYUZ supports the development of a skilled and confident healthcare workforce. It plays a vital role in bridging academic knowledge with real-world practice, contributing to improved patient care and fostering innovation in clinical training.
Mission
The mission of the Tamayuz Simulation Center is to provide a dynamic and supportive learning environment where future healthcare professionals can safely develop and refine their clinical and professional skills. Through simulation-based education aligned with international best practices, TAMAYUZ empowers learners to enhance patient care, clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork by preparing them to become competent and compassionate healthcare leaders.
Vision
To be a leading center of excellence in simulation-based healthcare education in Qatar and the region, advancing clinical training, fostering interprofessional collaboration, and driving innovation in patient safety and care through immersive, evidence-based learning experiences.
Tamayuz features various hospital wards, including two fully equipped hospital rooms (6 beds each), an emergency room, a home care suite, an adult ICU, a pediatric ICU, a delivery suite, and standardized clinical examination rooms, helping students transition smoothly into clinical rotations and future employment. The center is outfitted with a wide range of medical equipment commonly available in healthcare facilities, ensuring realistic and relevant training.
To enrich learning, TAMAYUZ integrates three forms of simulation:
- High-Fidelity Manikins that simulate a variety of medical conditions and procedures.
- Standardized Patient Program, where trained actors portray patients to enhance communication and clinical reasoning.
- Hybrid Simulations that combine Manikins and standardized patients for comprehensive, scenario-based learning.
TAMAYUZ fosters a non-threatening, learner-centered environment that bridges theory and practice, preparing students to deliver safe and effective care in both hospital and community settings.

Suggestions for Improvement
- Visual Enhancements: Adding photos or short videos of the simulation rooms and equipment could make the page more engaging and informative.
- Interactive Features: A virtual tour or interactive map of the lab would enhance user experience, especially for prospective students.
