Dr. Ghaya Al-Rumaihi is a senior neurosurgeon and national leader in cerebrovascular, endovascular, and complex spine surgery. She currently serves as Head of the Neurosurgery Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, overseeing one of the region’s most advanced neurosurgical services, and leads the Qatar Board of Medical Specialties Examination Committee, where she drives national standards in surgical competency, OSCE development, and assessment innovation.
A strong advocate for integrating technology into healthcare, Dr. Al-Rumaihi is at the forefront of AI-driven neurosurgical diagnostics, spearheading projects that combine multiparametric MRI, clinical data, and biomarkers to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of brain tumor and stroke diagnosis. She collaborates with Qatar University and international partners to develop advanced machine-learning models aimed at real-world clinical deployment.
