Qatar University Health Center (clinics designated for university affiliates) Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) offers medical examinations exclusively for QU faculty, staff, and students.

Key Information:

• Eligibility: All QU faculty, staff, and students are eligible for this service, regardless of their assigned PHCC health center, simply by presenting a valid Qatar University Identification Card (QUID).
• Operating Hours: The clinic is open weekdays, aligned with standard QU working hours, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday.
• Exclusivity: This service is exclusively for QU affiliates. Family members are not eligible if not assigned to QU Health center.

Additional Notes:

Please note that while the QU Campus Clinic prioritizes medical examinations for QU affiliates, other services such as laboratory tests and pharmacy access follow standard PHCC procedures and waiting times.

Professional Conduct and Etiquette

All Qatar University affiliates are expected to demonstrate respectful and professional behavior when interacting with PHCC clinical and administrative staff.

The Campus Clinic is a shared professional healthcare environment — courtesy, patience, and cooperation are essential to ensure smooth and fair service for all.

Disciplinary Measures

Any form of misconduct, inappropriate behavior, or violation of PHCC policies by QU affiliates will be reported to Qatar University’s Student Affairs or HR departments.

Such incidents will be reviewed under QU’s Code of Conduct and Violations Policy, and appropriate disciplinary actions may follow.

In light of the current circumstances and the importance of enhancing awareness of safety and security guidelines within the university campus, we are pleased to inform you of an upcoming online awareness workshop for English speakers, entitled: “Safety and Security Guidelines During Emergency and Critical Situations on Campus” 

•  Date: Monday, 30 March 2026 
• Time: 1:30 – 2:00 pm 
• Platform: Microsoft Teams 

This session will be conducted in English. 

Workshop topics include: 

• How to respond to alerts issued by the National Early Warning System.
• General safety and security guidelines inside and outside university buildings. 
• The role of faculty members and staff.
• Q&A session.

Attendance is mandatory for all academic and administrative staff, given the importance of this workshop in ensuring a safe university environment in accordance with approved standards. Safety on campus is a shared responsibility.

Based on directives from the official authorities, Qatar University will resume on-campus study and work for students, faculty, and administrative staff starting Tuesday, 24 March 2026.

Qatar University is committed to all instructions issued by the official authorities. Any updates will be communicated as announced by the official authorities. All are required to follow issued directives and attend according to approved class schedules and official working hours.

Given the exceptional circumstances the region is going through, and out of Qatar University's concern for the safety of all its members, and to ensure the continuity of work and services provided to the university community, and in line with the directives issued by the competent authorities in the state, please adhere to the following guidelines for organizing work during this period as follows, until further notice:

First: Work Organization

1. Continue applying the remote work system not exceeding 70% of the total number, prioritizing mothers and people with disabilities, provided it does not affect work requirements, while 30% of employees work from the workplace. Departments must organize work on a rotational basis among employees.
2. The direct manager in each entity is responsible for organizing work schedules within the department to ensure work continuity and uninterrupted services, with the possibility of calling employees to attend the workplace.
3. Due to the adoption of the rotational work mechanism, all employees must remain within the State of Qatar during this period and be ready to come to the workplace whenever requested. Therefore, remote work from outside the country is not permitted.
4. Departments will continue to provide their services to university members (students, faculty, and staff) through the university's approved systems and platforms.

Second: Responsibilities of Direct Managers

Department managers and section heads, each within their jurisdiction, shall:

1. Organize work within their departments to ensure continuity and uninterrupted services.
2. Identify employees whose job nature requires attendance at the workplace and distribute tasks to ensure proper workflow.
3. Monitor employee performance and ensure completion of assigned tasks according to work requirements.
4. Maintain effective communication channels with work teams and regularly follow up on workflow.
5. Report any observations or challenges that may affect workflow to the competent authorities according to the approved administrative hierarchy.

Third: Obligations of Administrative Employees

1. Commit to the university's official working hours.
2. Follow up on assigned job tasks and implement them according to the direct manager's instructions and work requirements.
3. Be present and interact with the direct manager and work team via the university's approved communication means during working hours.
4. Use the university's approved systems and platforms to complete work and communicate, as announced by the Information Technology Department.
5. Maintain the confidentiality of institutional data and information and refrain from using any unauthorized platforms or tools.

Fourth: Systems and Regulations

All approved policies and regulations at Qatar University remain in effect, including human resources systems and job controls, unless otherwise stated in this circular or any subsequent instructions.

Conclusion

The university affirms that these procedures are part of its concern for the safety of all its members and ensuring work continuity efficiently during this stage, and to support university employees. These arrangements remain subject to review or modification based on new developments or instructions from the competent authorities in the state or the university administration, to serve the public interest and ensure business continuity with efficiency, quality, and safety.
