Established in 2016, the Center for Law and Development (CLD) serves as a leading platform for advancing legal research, policy engagement, and capacity building in alignment with the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030. As a gateway for achieving law-related national objectives, the Center focuses on addressing Qatar's evolving development needs through rigorous, interdisciplinary research and practical policy solutions.

Since its inception, the Center has secured competitive research funding from both internal and external sources, produced a strong portfolio of high-quality scholarly publications, and contributed significantly to enhancing the research profile and international standing of the College of Law at Qatar University.
