A cooperation agreement was signed between the Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University and the Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration of Qatar Chamber.
The agreement aims to strengthen institutional collaboration in delivering specialized training programs in arbitration, conciliation, and mediation, and enhance the professional competencies of arbitrators and raise awareness of alternative dispute resolution methods.
The agreement includes the joint development and implementation of training courses in commercial law, local and international arbitration, mediation, and dispute management. It also features a comprehensive Arbitrator Preparation and Qualification Program, designed to equip national and Arab professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to serve as certified arbitrators.
The program consists of five structured training stages covering theoretical and practical aspects of arbitration, including drafting arbitration agreements, managing sessions, and preparing arbitral awards.
This collaboration aims to support companies and institutions by strengthening their legal capacities and enabling them to manage contractual relationships effectively in line with best legal practices.

Qatar Chamber Conclude Arbitration Training Program

The Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA) at Qatar Chamber, in collaboration with the Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University, has concluded an advanced training program for arbitrators. The program targeted Qatari professionals and residents from various sectors.
Held at Qatar University's College of Law from April 20 to May 21, 2025, the program covered five stages combining theoretical and practical aspects of dispute resolution, including arbitration case management and award drafting. It concluded with a mock arbitration trial involving all participants.
At the closing ceremony, Mr. Ibrahim Shahbeik, Secretary-General of QICCA, awarded certificates to 24 graduates representing government and semi-government entities.
Launched in 2017, this joint initiative is a leading effort to develop national expertise in arbitration and reflects the partners' commitment to strengthening Qatar's legal environment.
AI using Copilot Training
As part of its efforts to enhance staff skills and support digital transformation, the Strategy and Development Department, in collaboration with Qatar University's Community Service and Continuing Education Center, organized a training program titled "AI Using Copilot" from May 11–12, 2025.
The program aimed to equip participants with essential AI knowledge and practical skills using Microsoft tools to support institutional growth and strategic objectives.
Graduation ceremony of the second batch of professional diploma in partnership with Pioneer Training Center

The Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University, in partnership with Pioneer Training Center, celebrated the graduation of the second batch of professional diploma graduates who completed the requirements of the professional diploma. The total number of graduates of this batch was 228 male and female graduates. The ceremony was held at Qatar University and was attended by Dr. Rajab Al-Ismail, Director of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University, Ms. Noor Mohammed Al-Mansoori, CEO of Pioneer Group, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, officials in the private sector and parents of students.
The ceremony included a film about the students' learning journey in professional diplomas and their discussion of graduation projects and qualifying them with the necessary skills to start their professional careers.
In his speech, Dr. Rajab Al-Ismail, said: "Professional diplomas have become educational and plays a pivotal role in developing the practical and professional skills of individuals and meeting the needs of the changing labor market." He also stressed that graduates of professional diplomas have higher employment opportunities because they possess specific skills that are required in the labor market, as the professional diploma certificate is considered a strong addition to the CV, especially in technical and creative fields.
Ms. Noor Mohammed Al-Mansoori also extended her congratulations to the graduates for their achievements and success, which was the result of their determination and hard work . She also stressed the keenness of Pioneer Training Center to provide an integrated educational experience, under the supervision of internationally accredited trainers with extensive practical experience, in addition to offering more professional diplomas that meet the needs and requirements of the labor market.
The trainers in charge of the professional diplomas were honored and certificates were handed over to the students of the professional diplomas in six different specializations, which were: “Leadership and Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Networks and Cyber Security, Graphic Design and Social Media Management, Interior Design, and Animation".
Al Noor Center for the Blind and Qatar University signed an agreement to
enhance and empower the visually impaired

The Community Service and Continuing Education Center and Al-Noor Center for the Blind have signed an agreement at their headquarters. The agreement focuses on training courses and specialized workshops aimed at developing skills and enhancing capabilities among people with visual impairments, as well as parents, university students, teachers, service providers, and others interested in the field.
The agreement seeks to improve both practical and scientific skills for people with visual impairments and contribute to raising societal awareness about the importance of supporting and empowering this group.
The Executive Director of the Center, Mr. Mishaal Abdullah Al-Naimi, stated that the agreement represents an important step in the efforts of Al-Noor Center to enhance its community role in empowering people with visual impairments and preparing them to be active members of society.
Dr. Mona Al Marzouqi, Head of Strategy and Development at Qatar University, emphasized that the Community Service and Continuing Education Center has a clear vision for the future, being an integral part of Qatar University. She added that this agreement is an important continuation in the journey of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center.
Program for
transforming the General Budget into Performance Budget
The Ministry of Finance, represented by the General Budget Department, in cooperation with the Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University, organized the second phase of the Program for Transformation to Program and Performance Budgeting for governmental and semi-governmental entities, which lasted from July 7, 2024 for a period of four weeks. The organization of this training program comes within the framework of the Ministry's endeavor and keenness to develop and enhance the basic requirements for the program and performance budget, which aims to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030. The program aims to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and training required for the program for transformation to the program and performance budget and to define the concept of the program and performance budget system as an advanced method for preparing the general budget. It focuses on achieving the objectives, then analyzing the basic objectives into sub-objectives and determining performance rates to measure the extent of progress based on indicators of efficiency and effectiveness, in addition to training and developing the technical and administrative capabilities of employees to ensure their good understanding of the concepts of program and performance budgeting methods. Through the second phase of this year, the participation of 150 representatives from 18 governmental and semi-governmental entities was targeted.
Opening of the activities of the second training forum on "Charitable Work Strategy in the State of Qatar: Transformation towards the Future"
The Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University (QU) launched the second training forum under the title "Charitable Work Strategy in Qatar: Transition Towards the Future" in collaboration with the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Planning Council, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
The forum aims to raise awareness and enhance the capacities and readiness of charitable, humanitarian, and developmental organizations to meet the requirements of activating the charity work strategy in Qatar and to empower non-profit organizations in Qatar to achieve institutional excellence. The forum serves as a compass to guide and enhance the capabilities of the charity sector in designing and implementing strategic initiatives and promoting sustainable approaches.
Train the Trainers TOT
Community Service and Continuing Education Center organized Train the Trainers TOT training program for 3 groups of employees of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation - Kahramaa.
This distinguished initiative from Kahramaa is to qualify a number of employees to implement training programs in technical fields, transfer their skills and knowledge to their colleagues and promote the concept of sustainability.
The course included many objectives, the most important of which was to provide trainees with the basic skills to deliver training programs professionally, possess confidence, build familiarity between the trainer and the trainees and motivate the trainees. In addition to learning basic speech skills that prepare the trainee to be an organized and influential speaker, the program also provided the knowledge of writing training objectives and understanding the basic principles of preparing training courses.
The course included a set of activities and practical exercises, which witnessed a distinctive interaction and enthusiasm from the trainees. Trainees did daily presentations by applying the seven steps of learning and exhibited their physical and vocal presentation skills.
Train the Trainer for Welcoming the World - FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM -Service Excellence
A training of trainers program was presented to welcome the fans of the World Cup - FIFA Qatar 2022 - in cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Legacy and Projects. The program targeted trainers for workers in the first ranks of the concerned employees in receiving and serving the World Cup fans from various sectors, governmental and security institutions, Hamad International Airport, the health sector, the transportation sector and customs. Eighteen training groups have been provided and more than four hundred coaches from different authorities in the country have been trained to contribute to the success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 event.
Annual Recognition Day for Community Service and Continuing Education Center
The Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University held an annual recognition ceremony, for the academic year 2021-2022 on Sunday, September 4, 2022, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Al-Khanji - Head of Strategy and Development and Dr. Rajab Al-Ismail - Director of the Community Service Center and Continuing education Center.
In this ceremony, professors from outside and inside Qatar University were honored, in addition to the organizations collaborating with the center in providing training programs and accredited certificates, such as Pioneers Academy, Aspire Logistics, Afif Charity, State Audit Bureau and Barwa Real Estate.
In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Rajab Al-Ismail welcomed all and stated that this celebration comes after series of successes achieved by the center. He also stated that the mission of the center, is to make learning available to a large segment of society members by designing programs and providing continuing education opportunities for adult learners to improve their skills and knowledge, thereby having a positive impact on their responsibilities and duties.

Signing of MOU with Aspire Zone Foundation
Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) and The Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University, signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the AZF headquarters.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of Mr. Abdulla Nasser Al-Naemi, Director General at Aspire Logistics, Dr. Khaled Al-Khanji, Head of Strategy and Development at Qatar University, and a number of senior officials.
The memorandum dealt with prospects for development and strengthening cooperation in the areas of training, development, program delivery and benefiting from common capabilities to contribute in raising the efficiency of the target groups. In addition, seeking to develop the skills and capabilities of human cadres.
This memorandum is a starting point for a new phase of cooperation in the framework of supporting and strengthening the partnership between the two parties. It will help to benefit from the expertise and capabilities available to both parties and employ them in achieving a sustainable and effective development in various fields.
Signing of an agreement between Community Service and Continuing Education Center and Afif CharitableFoundation
Community Service and Continuing Education Center has signed an agreement regarding cooperation in the field of training courses, development and provision of programs in community service with Afif Charitable Foundation. The programs targeted young people of both sexes, which in turn will contribute to advancing development in various fields.
Dr. Rajab Abdullah Al-Ismail, Director of Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Qatar University, stated the importance of cooperation and partnerships with government sectors and civil society in Qatar and abroad, as the field of community participation is at the heart of Qatar University’s mission and vision, as it is committed to ensuring a rich environment on campus. The university encourages academic excellence, volunteer work and civic responsibility, and the university is working to enhance its goal to become a leader in economic and social development in the State of Qatar. The cooperation agreement with Afif Charitable Foundation embodies the role of Community Service and Continuing Education Center in providing programs and training courses for special groups in society.
On the other hand, Mrs. Zulaikha Al-Asmakh, Acting CEO of the Afif Charitable Foundation, stressed the extent of Afif Foundation's keenness to form strategic partnerships in implementing targeted activities, plans and training programs, and intensifying efforts to provide the best capabilities and expertise to achieve common goals and benefit the community. Mrs. Zulekha Al-Asmakh pointed out that the partnership with Qatar University is distinguished and of a different nature. Afif Foundation's endeavor to hold this kind of strategic partnerships with trusted bodies in Qatari society. They will contribute to raising the efficiency of young people by opening up ways and opportunities for economic empowerment for them.
