About EMVAC
The Eastern Mediterranean Advanced Vaccinology Course (EMVAC) is a high-level regional training initiative hosted by Qatar University as part of the activities of a WHO Collaborating Centre. EMVAC is designed to strengthen immunization leadership and promote evidence-based decision-making across the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR).
The course addresses key regional immunization challenges, including declining vaccination coverage, an increasing number of zero-dose children, rising program complexity, vaccine hesitancy, and limited financial resources.
A strong emphasis is placed on translating technical knowledge into policy development and measurable programmatic impact.
