Award Description
This award recognizes students who develop creative and original ideas that demonstrate a clear understanding of the creative industries and their impact on society. It acknowledges students who can critically analyze existing challenges, propose innovative solutions, and creatively express ideas through digital or artistic means as part of their CCP course projects.
The award aims to fulfil the following:
- Recognize excellence in creativity and innovation among CCP students
- Inspire other students to explore creative industries as future leaders in their fields
- Promote a culture of creative thinking, digital literacy, and cultural awareness at QU
Eligibility
To be considered for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- All undergraduate students at Qatar University, across all colleges and majors, are eligible to apply
- Applications must be submitted as part of a CCP course project or assignment
- Individuals or pairs of students may apply.
The Award
The award(s) will be nominated by the designated CCP Student Award Committee, either an individual or pairs.
Awardees will receive:
- Certificate of Excellence
- Valuable Prize
Selection Criteria
Applicants for the award should:
- Demonstrate a strong ability to identify real-world challenges, needs, or opportunities within creative industries
- Provide original and creative ideas that add value to society, culture, or economy
- Show how their work can meaningfully influence audiences, communities, or the broader environment
Detailed Application Procedures
Interested applicants must:
1-Fill in the award online application form
Submit the final product of their creative work (Word document), addressing the following:
What problem, need, or opportunity does your work address?
What ideas or solutions have you proposed, and how were they developed?
What makes your work creative, original, or innovative?
What is the potential cultural, social, or economic impact of your work?
Submit the followings (Deliverables):
a) Project Artifact (Primary Product)
Students must submit the final output of their summit project in its original format to demonstrate the project's tangible creative outcome.

b) Concept Summary (Short Written Document – max 2 pages)
Students must submit a short-written explanation of their project that addresses:
Problem / Opportunity: What challenge, need, or opportunity does your project respond to?
Idea and Creative Solution: What is the core idea? How is it original or innovative?
Development Process: How did you develop it? What tools, methods, or models did you use?
Digital + Creative Elements: How did you integrate digital tools, technology, or creative practice?
Impact + Value: What cultural, social, or economic value does your project offer? Who benefits and how?
Ethics or Cultural Considerations: Did you consider accessibility, culture, inclusion, or ethics?
Length: 600–800 words
Format: PDF format
C) Video Pitch / Presentation (max 5 minutes)Applicants must submit a short video presenting their project.
Formats allowed:
- Voice-over slides
- Filmed pitch
- Screen recording demo
- Animated video
The pitch should cover:
- Problem / opportunity
- Idea and purpose
- Creative + digital elements
- Development process
- Impact or value created
