    Quality Assurance

    The College
of Dental Medicine maintains rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure that contemporary standards of education are upheld across all levels of the Dental Program. Through a comprehensive system informed by faculty academic committees, expert panels, international benchmarking, and the continuous oversight of the Academic Affairs Office, the College systematically monitors and enhances program delivery, teaching practices, and student support services. These quality assurance approaches ensure alignment with institutional, national, and international accreditation requirements and sustain the highest standards of academic and clinical excellence.
    The process includes:
    • Program Review and Evaluation
Conducting regular reviews of academic programs to assess their effectiveness and ensure alignment with intended learning outcomes and accreditation standards. It also includes analysing feedback from faculty, students, external reviewers, and stakeholders to identify strengths, address gaps, and guide continuous improvement.
    • Curriculum Enhancement
Monitoring curriculum implementation to ensure consistency, relevance, and compliance with academic policies. It also encompasses ongoing updates to course descriptions, teaching strategies, assessment methods, and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) to maintain high-quality, contemporary, and student-centred educational experiences.
    • Assessment and Reporting
Ensures that assessment tools and methods accurately measure student performance and achievement of learning outcomes. It also includes preparing annual program reports and quality enhancement plans informed by key performance indicators and data analysis, supporting accountability and continuous improvement across the academic program.
    • Accreditation Compliance
Overseeing adherence to institutional and program-level accreditation standards to ensure sustained quality and accountability. It includes coordinating the preparation of comprehensive self-study reports, compiling evidence files, and managing follow-up actions to maintain compliance and drive continuous enhancement.
    • Faculty Support and Development
Enable faculty members to implement best practices in teaching, assessment, and curriculum design. It includes providing guidance, resources, and professional development opportunities that enhance instructional quality and strengthen the overall academic experience.
    • Student Feedback and Engagement
Collecting and analysing student input on courses, teaching quality, and learning experiences. Insights gained from this feedback inform targeted improvements that address student needs and ensure a supportive, learner-centred academic environment.
    • Documentation and Continuous Improvement
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation of all quality assurance activities and closely monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track progress and guide ongoing enhancement across academic operations.
