Collaboration with the Field Practicum Unit
About the Collaboration:
The collaboration between the National Educational Development Center (NEDC) and the Field Practicum Unit at the College of Education – Qatar University reflects a shared commitment to preparing and professionally training future educators.
Through this partnership, the NEDC provides educational supervision for student teachers in public schools. A dedicated team of educational supervisors from the Center supports and monitors student teachers during their practicum period, ensuring meaningful learning experiences in real classroom settings.
This initiative strengthens the integration between the university and the school sector, helping student teachers develop essential competencies and apply effective teaching practices in real classroom settings, thereby contributing to improvement of education in the State of Qatar.
Objectives of the Collaboration:
• Prepare and train student teachers through authentic field experiences that build professional and practical teaching skills.
• Enhance the quality of teacher preparation programs by engaging student teachers in real learning environments under specialized supervision.
• Empower student teachers to adopt modern instructional practices that advance education in Qatar.
• Strengthen the integration between higher education institutions and the school sector to ensure effective and sustainable teacher preparation.
• Promote continious exchange of expertise between NEDC and the Field Practicum Unit to support ongoing improvement in educational practices.
Target Group:
Students of the College of Education, particularly those enrolled in the Field Practicum Course.
