​Scholarship and Capacity Building Program

Qatar University's Scholarship and Capacity Building Program is responsible for attracting academically outstanding Qatari students to pursue their postgraduate studies (Master's and PhD) at the world's leading universities dedicated to higher education. The university also manages scholarship missions and provides the necessary support throughout the entire scholarship period.

The university also seeks to develop the skills of newly graduated Qatari PhD holders among its faculty members through their participation in the National Leadership Development Program. This program aims to enhance their capabilities and enable them to excel in teaching, research, and leadership.

Admission Criteria for the Sponsorship Program for Current Students

• A Qatari nationality under 24 years.
  
• Cumulative GPA 3.5/4 and above.
  
• Completed 60 of cumulative hours or more.
  
• Proof of language.
• Pass the department and the Dean interviews.
• The approval of the higher academic affairs committee of Qatar University.

 Admission Criteria for the Master's Scholarship Program

• A Qatari nationality under 28 years.
• Graduated from an accredited University as a full time.
• Cumulative GPA 3.5/4 and above or equivalent.
• Proof of language - minimum ILETS 5.5.
• Pass the interviews in the (Department - Dean - Scholarships office - Committee)

 Admission Criteria for the PhD Scholarship Program

• A Qatari nationality under 35 years.
  
• Graduated from an accredited University as a full time
• Cumulative GPA 3.5/4 and above or equivalent.
• Proof of language - minimum ILETS 5.5.
• Pass the interviews in the (Department - Dean - Scholarships office - Committee)
