Clinical Social Worker Certification Program
Program Overview
The Clinical Social Worker Certification Program is a six-month, DHP-aligned enhanced skills program designed to upskill bachelor's-level social workers to function effectively in clinical healthcare settings. The program integrates theoretical knowledge, applied clinical training, and competency-based assessments to prepare graduates for safe, ethical, and effective practice within multidisciplinary teams.
This program was developed in response to national workforce needs, in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), and the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP). It aligns with Qatar’s National Mental Health Strategy and strengthens the behavioral health workforce across the healthcare system.
Target Audience
- Bachelor-level Social Work graduates
- Preferred: Minimum 1-year experience in a health or community-based setting.
- Language proficiency: English and Arabic.
Program Structure
Duration: 6 months – 4 months integrated didactic education (6 hours a week) + 2 months Practicum.

Accreditation
