Any research or teaching project involving the use of vertebrate animals.
How long does the approval process take?
Typically 8–12 weeks, depending on application completeness and project complexity.
When should I renew my approval?
Approval is valid for one year. You should renew at least one month before expiration (up to two times; the third requires a de novo review).
Can I start research before receiving approval?
No. Starting without approval is considered non-compliance and may lead to suspension of research or funding revocation.
