Call for Abstracts
We are pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for the Pharmacy Education and Science Conference 2025. This year's conference will focus on advancing the role of pharmacy in direct patient care through innovative education, cutting-edge scientific research, and transformative practice. Although the outlined themes serve as a focus for the conference, we encourage innovative and interdisciplinary abstracts that contribute to the advancement of the pharmacy profession, as well as the wider healthcare field.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission
General Instructions:
- All abstracts must be submitted through the Oxford Abstracts platform. You can access the submission portal here. Abstracts submitted via email or other formats will not be considered.
- You will need to create an account on Oxford Abstracts. If you already have an account, you can log in using your existing username and password to make a submission.
- If your institution's firewall is blocking access to the Oxford Abstracts platform, try accessing the submission portal using a different network (e.g., mobile data or a personal Wi-Fi connection). Alternatively, contact your institution's IT department to request temporary access or use a VPN to bypass the restriction. If the issue persists, please notify the conference organizers at [PharmESP25@qu.edu.qa] for further assistance.
- All abstracts must be written in a scientific writing style using English language and must include some preliminary results. Protocol-only submissions will not be accepted.
- Only use internationally accepted signs and symbols for units (SI units).
- The deadline for abstract submission is 31st December 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Abstract Structure and Style:
Title:
- The title should be concise and accurately reflect the content of the abstract (Maximum of 20 words)
- The authors are encouraged not to phrase the title as a question or give the conclusion of the study away. Please do not use abbreviations in the title.
Authors:
- Include the full name, affiliation, and email address of all authors. Only authors who meet eligibility criteria as per the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors recommendations should be included in the author list.
- Clearly indicate the presenting author. Only one author can be listed as the presenting author.
Abstract Length:
- The abstract should be no longer than 300 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations).
- Use the abstract text box provided on the platform to ensure the correct word count.
Structure:
Research abstracts should follow this structure:
- Background: Provide context or rationale for the study.
- Aim: Clearly state the purpose of the study.
- Methods: Briefly describe the methods used, including study design, setting, and participants. Please provide as much brief methodological detail as necessary to allow an independent assessment of rigour and quality.
- Results: Summarize the key findings.
- Conclusions: A brief concluding statement should follow on logically from the objectives, and results of the study. State the implications of the results for practice, research, or policy.
Keywords:
- Include up to 5 keywords that best describe the content of your abstract.
Abstract Categories:
- During submission, select the appropriate core area (e.g., Pharmacy Education, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy Practice) to which your abstract belongs.
Presentation Type:
- Indicate your preferred presentation format: oral presentation, poster presentation, or either.
- The Scientific Committee reserves the right to decide on the final presentation format.
Tables and Figures:
- Tables and figures are not allowed
Ethics Statement:
- For research involving human or animal subjects, you must confirm ethical approval in your submission (provide name of the committee and a reference number) . Submissions failing to meet this criteria will not be considered for publication.
Peer Review Process and Notification:
- All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind peer review by the Conference Scientific Committee.
- Abstracts will be evaluated on the basis of relevance, originality, methodology, clarity, and significance.
- Authors will be notified of the outcome of their submission by 30th January 2025
- Accepted abstracts will be designated for either oral or poster presentation based on the review outcome and space availability.
After Submission:
- You can modify your abstract any time before the submission deadline. After the deadline, no changes will be allowed.
- You will receive a submission reference number, please use this in all communications.
Registration:
- Presenting authors must register for the conference to ensure their abstract is included in the final program. Failure to register will result in the removal of the abstract from the program.
- Registration will open from 1st January 2025. Early bird registration will close on 30th March 2025.
