Professor Laith J. Abu-Raddad is a Professor of Population Health Sciences and the founding leader of the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Group at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Cornell University. His distinguished academic career is highlighted by numerous high-impact studies published in prestigious journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Science, The Lancet and its associated journals, JAMA, and Nature Medicine. His research spans a broad spectrum of infectious diseases, including COVID-19, HIV, other sexually transmitted infections, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, and SARS.
