​Visa Information

Qatar offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry for citizens of over 102 countries, including most of Europe, North America, and parts of Asia.
To check if you are eligible, visit the official Visit Qatar Visa Portal. The Hayya platform is an all-in-one digital service designed for both visitors and residents of Qatar. Accessible via the "Hayya to Qatar" website and mobile app, it provides a range of services, including electronic visa applications for various categories such as the Tourist Visa (A1) and GCC Resident Visa (A2).

Important Visa Notes for Conference Attendees:

  • Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.
  • If a visa support/invitation letter is required for your application, contact the conference secretariat at (PharmESP25@qu.edu.qa).
  • Early visa arrangements are recommended to avoid delays in travel planning.

Packing Guide

Qatar's climate in April is warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures ranging between 22°C to 35°C (72°F to 95°F).
Recommended items to pack:

  • Light, breathable clothing
  • Modest attire for public spaces (shoulders and knees covered)
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a sun hat
  • Light jacket or shawl for air-conditioned venues

Getting Around

Doha is well connected and easy to navigate:

  • Hamad International Airport (HIA) is one of the world's top-rated airports and is located just 20–30 minutes from the city centre.  The conference venue is JW Marriott City Center Doha, Qatar.
  • Transportation options include metro, taxis, Uber, and Careem.
  • Many hotels offer shuttle services or can assist with private transfers.

Accommodation

Doha offers a wide range of hotels and serviced apartments to suit every preference and budget.
Qatar is ranked among the safest countries globally. English is widely spoken, and visitors consistently praise the country's cleanliness, orderliness, and exceptional hospitality.
